My name is Louise Sargent and I am an amateur photographer based on the south coast of England. I enjoy all photographic subjects and I have a passion for capturing light in the natural world. I am self-taught having had an interest in arts and photography since childhood. My life is restricted by the neurological condition Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, although photography has provided me with a view of the world.
I have used Canon Ixus compact digital cameras for many years, although I am looking forward to expanding my skills with a digital SLR. I regularly attend arts and craft events throughout Sussex and Kent. I also sell a selection of prints and greeting cards in aid of my non-profit cause M.E. Support, which provides guidance to those living with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.
I will be developing this portfolio over the coming months, along with adding greeting cards to the M.E. Support Online Shop. My photographs are also available as mounted A4 prints; please Contact Me for further details.
Photography is not about cameras, gadgets and gismos. Photography is about photographers. A camera didn't make a great picture any more than a typewriter wrote a great novel.
