M.E. Support Facebook Page

M.E. Support has provided many free services over the years in a bid to raise awareness. This included a popular message board and useful chat room facilities. These have been replaced with a moderated space on Facebook, the popular social networking service, in order to keep up with demand. This is an ideal place to read and comment on the latest news, discuss and seek advice on issues affecting M.E., along with getting to know like-minded people.

If you would like to become a member, simply visit Facebook to log in or sign up and click 'Like' to join. You can post a message by typing in the 'Status' box; do you have some news, a question or would you like to introduce yourself? Your message may include links and you can also attach a photograph or video. Your message will appear under 'Visitor Posts', where you can also read and reply to other member’s messages. If you would prefer to send M.E. Support a private message, please click the 'Message' button underneath the cover image. M.E. Support news features in the main timeline and you are welcome to 'Like', 'Comment' on or 'Share' any of the posts. There is a useful link to 'Invite friends to like this Page', and you can also share it with others by selecting 'More' options.
Please be aware that the page’s layout will appear different depending on the device you are using.

If you would like to mention M.E. Support on your personal timeline,
please create a link by typing @M.E. Support and selecting it from the list. You can also share your stories, pictures and videos with the M.E. Support Facebook Page using hashtag #MESUK. Hashtags turn topics and phrases into clickable links in your posts on your personal timeline or page. When you click a hashtag, you will see a feed of posts that include that hashtag. You will find more useful information in the Facebook Help Centre.

The M.E. Support Facebook Page is for educational and informational purposes only. The inclusion of any links does not necessarily imply a recommendation or endorse the views expressed within them. Opinions expressed by members are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of M.E. Support. This is a monitored service and we reserve the right to remove any posting that is inappropriate or offensive. Any advertising or product endorsements not approved by M.E. Support will be removed and the publisher blocked. Please be aware that posts will be deleted after two years to keep the content current.

You can access Facebook from anywhere on M.E. Support via the quick link on the right-hand side of your screen. You will find 'Like' and 'Send' options throughout M.E. Support at the bottom of each page. The Facebook page is conveniently linked to both the M.E. Support Online Shop and PayPal Donations.

The Facebook page was launched in February 2012 by Louise Sargent, the Founder and Webmaster of M.E. Support. This growing community is managed by a team of volunteers, all of whom have M.E. experience.
Kelly Ledder is the Administrator and has experience in social media management. Chloe Leanne Brookes is an active Facebook user and carries out editorial duties. Laura McGregor maintains this welcoming environment through her role as Moderator. M.E. Support PR Officer Leanne Bragger helps to develop and promote this vital service. M.E. Support Ambassador Rochelle Hanslow is involved in all aspects of the page.

Unrest Review

My brother Stuart and I went to our local screening of Unrest recently, an award-winning documentary film about Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.

Jennifer Brea is about to marry the love of her life when she’s struck down by a fever that leaves her bedridden. When doctors tell her “it’s all in her head”, she turns her camera on herself and her community as she looks for answers and fights for a cure.

Although it was emotionally challenging to watch, we are pleased to share our views on this groundbreaking film with you.

Amazon Wish List

One of the biggest expenses I have with running M.E. Support is the cost of office supplies. I created an Amazon Wish List so that you have the choice of supporting this cause with tangible items as an alternative to making a monetary donation.

Please consider purchasing an item from the list and Amazon will dispatch it to M.E. Support on your behalf. I currently require the following items and would appreciate any help you can provide:

Away from M.E. Support I am a keen amateur photographer. I enjoy all photographic subjects,
